ZAMBIA AQUACULTURE ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
CALL FOR APPLICATION
The Government of the Republic of Zambia is implementing the Zambia Aquaculture Enterprise Development Project (ZAEDP) with support from the African Development Bank (AfDB) under the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock (MFL). The project aims at stimulating a viable aquaculture subsector in Zambia in order to promote economic diversification, food security and sustainable employment generation, all of which are central priorities of the Government of Zambia. The development goal is to develop a domestic aquaculture subsector which serves as viable and inclusive business opportunity through enhanced production and productivity to improve the livelihood of beneficiaries along the aquaculture value chain.
The project is designed with an Aquaculture Seed Fund valued at USD 23.76 million whose objective is to increase access to affordable financing along the Aquaculture Value Chain. The Aquaculture Seed Fund is implemented jointly with the Citizen Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) as Fund Managers.
The Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock through ZAEDP is calling for aquaculture value chain players to apply for loans and investment in the following targeted districts;

The Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock is therefore calling on all interested value chain players in the above districts to apply to access financing (loans) under the Aquaculture Seed Funds.
APPLICATION FORMS
- The application forms can be accessed from the respective District Fisheries and Livestock office, CEEC Offices, and the ZAEDP Office.{CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD FORM}
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION AND PLACE OF SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION
- All completed application forms are to be submitted at the District Fisheries and Livestock Office tender box in each respective district. The application deadline is 6th May, 2022 before at 17:00hrs
ELIGIBLE APPLICANT
- All Zambians who are interested in fish farming, youths, women and recent graduates are encouraged to apply and venture into aquaculture business.
