BACKGROUND
Pursuant to Section 20 of the CEE Act No. 9 of 2006, the Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) is mandated to promote establishment of joint ventures between targeted local enterprises and foreign investors to enhance performance of the national economy.
The Commission is hereby inviting interested targeted enterprises (including Cooperatives) that would like to partner with prospective foreign investors to apply for consideration.
BENEFITS OF JOINT VENTURE INITIATIVES
- Access to greater resources for enterprise recapitalisation, such as technology and finance.
- Risk and cost sharing beneficiation.
- Maximise use of locally available resources through enhanced capacity.
- Enhanced access to new markets such as COMESA, SADC and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and distribution networks.
- Leverage on new knowledge and expertise.
ELIGIBILITY
- Must be a registered cooperative or a small to medium enterprise as categorized by the current National Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development (MSME) Policy.
- Must provide audited financial statements or management accounts for at least 2 years
- Must provide a detailed company profile
- Must be compliant with statutory bodies (provide documentation) such as ZRA, NAPSA, Workers Compensation Control Board, PACRA and other relevant bodies
- Must be a member of a body under the Zambia Chamber of Commerce

HOW TO EXPRESS INTEREST
The Expression of Interest for joint venture formation must be submitted online in Word document format. through the following steps:
- Step 1: Access the Online Applications on the CEEC Website https://www.ceec.org.zm to Register your login credentials or Login if existing user via URL address https://applications.ceec.org.zm/account/user-login
- Step 2: Navigate or Click or Products.
- Step 3: Search the Products list, locate “Joint Ventures” and click Apply for this product to continue.
- Step 4: Enter application information.
- Step 5: Locate Applications and click Current Application in the drop-list to display the created application and continue with your submission.
- Step 6: Fill in the required details under the following tabs: Applicant Information, Shareholders, Representative, Management, Financial Information and Attachments (Company profile and other documents).
- Step 7: Finalise your application and submit once you have confirmed all sections of the application have been filled in.
DEADLINE: Monday 30 September 2024 at 17:00hrs.
