EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR SUPPLY OF FISH CAGES AND MOTOR VEHICLES

1. SUPPLY OF FISH CAGES TO CEEC CLIENTS UNDER THE CAGE FISH FARMING LOAN PRODUCT

BACKGROUND

The Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) is a body corporate established through the enactment of the Citizens Economic Empowerment Act No. 9 of 2006 (CEE Act) to foster broad based economic empowerment. CEEC is currently in the process of calling for applications from interested targeted citizens and enterprises (including cooperatives) who wish to undertake investment projects through various empowerment products that include Cage Fish Farming.

CEEC invites proposals from suitably qualified and experienced Zambian citizens and targeted enterprises (in accordance with the CEE Act) for the supply and provision of fish cages (not exceeding dimensions of 6m x 6m x 6m) on a need basis.

  • EXPRESSION OF INTEREST INVITATION IS FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS
    • Complete 6m x 6m x 3m cage – to include Kapenta, production, predator and bird nets, with fourteen (14) plastic drums
    • Cages to be supplied must be compliant with the fish cage standards under the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock and can either be of metal or plastic frames.
  • TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE EOI – APPLICATION PROCESS
  1. EOI applications can be made via the CEEC online application portal on http://applications.ceec.org.zm
  2. EOI respondents with an existing profile on the portal, can click LOG IN. For new respondents, click Register
  3. EOI respondents must clearly specify ONE cage category (out of the list shown above) that they can offer
  4. EOI respondents must also specify the type of cage they can offer (metal or plastic frames).
  5. EOI respondents must supply the fish cage(s) no later than 30 days from date of offer
  6. If EOI respondent is a trading subsidiary, proof of such relationship with the manufacturer should be provided.

2. PROVISION OF VEHICLES TO CEEC CLIENTS UNDER THE OWN A TAXI, MINI-BUS OR 5 TONNE LIGHT TRUCK LOAN PRODUCT

    BACKGROUND

The Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) is a body corporate established through the enactment of the Citizens Economic Empowerment Act No. 9 of 2006 (CEE Act) to foster broad based economic empowerment. CEEC is currently in the process of calling for applications from interested targeted citizens, companies and cooperative enterprises who wish to undertake investment projects through various empowerment products that include ‘Own a Taxi, Mini-Bus or Light-Truck (not exceeding 5 tonnes)’.

CEEC invites proposals from suitably qualified and experienced Zambian citizens and targeted companies (In accordance with the CEE Act), capable regional agents/dealers for the supply and provision of passenger vehicles, mini-buses or light-truck (not exceeding 5 tonnes) on a need basis.

EOI respondents should be able to provide ONE of the vehicle categories listed below:

  • EXPRESSION OF INTEREST INVITATION IS FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS
    • Taxi – to transport four passengers plus driver in two rows of seats, with four (4) side doors, two on each side for passengers’ access plus cargo area. Smooth drive, and excellent fuel economy/consumption.
    • Mini-Bus – with high-roof to transport 16 passengers, seatbelts on all 16 seats, all-around windows. Smooth drive, and excellent fuel economy/consumption.
    • Light-Truck Not more than 5 tonne light truck, efficient solution for the transport of light cargo, fuel efficiency, faster turnaround time, improved tyre and safety features, and better drivability.
    • Vehicles to be supplied must be compliant with the Zambian road use regulations and can either be petrol or diesel engine transmission.
  • TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE EOI – APPLICATION PROCESS
  1. EOI applications can be made via the CEEC online application portal on http://applications.ceec.org.zm 
  2. EOI respondents with an existing profile on the portal, can click LOG IN. For new respondents, click Register
  3. Under ‘Products’, select the Business Service Product you wish to apply for
  4. EOI respondents must clearly specify ONE vehicle category (out of the list shown above) that they can offer
  5. EOI respondents must also specify the brand of vehicle they can offer
  6. EOI respondents must supply vehicles no older than 5 years from date of manufacture
  7. If EOI respondent is a trading subsidiary, proof of such relationship with the manufacturer should be provided.

N.B. Failure to submit compliance documents upon request will lead to disqualification.

NOTE: CEEC reserves the right to reject EOIs that are incomplete or do not meet the requirements mentioned above. Therefore, submission of EOI does not carry any binding expectation or imply any right to participate in the planned tender.

DEADLINE: The closing date for submission of proposals for the provision of vehicles is Friday,3 March 2023.
