EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR THE SUPPLY OF FISH FINGERLINGS TO CEEC CLIENTS UNDER THE CAGE FISH FARMING LOAN PRODUCT

  1. BACKGROUND

The Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) is a body corporate established through the enactment of the Citizens Economic Empowerment Act No. 9 of 2006 (CEE Act) to foster broad based economic empowerment. CEEC is currently in the process of calling for applications from interested targeted citizens and enterprises (including cooperatives) who wish to undertake investment projects through various empowerment products that include Fish Farming.

CEEC invites proposals from suitably qualified and experienced Fish Hatcheries and Nurseries for the supply and provision of fish fingerlings (3g – 5g) to CEEC funded loan beneficiaries on a needs basis.

  • EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)/INVITATION IS FOR THE FOLLOWING FINGERLING SPECIFICATIONS
    • Sex reversedFingerlings of all species of Oreochromis and Tilapia
    • Size: From 3grams to 5 grams
    • Fingerlings to be supplied must be compliant with the fingerlings standards under the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock. Characteristics and quality factors include the following;
  • Uniformity with minimal variation in size and weight
  • Normal body shape (Absence of skeletal deformities)
  • Overall health status (absence of wounds, hemorrhages, infections, parasites and necroses)
  • The acceptable growth (food conversion of not more than 1.5 within its age group)
  • Normal behavior (quick response to food distribution, fast swimming, controlled buoyancy)
  • Source of fingerlings shall be from the brood stock that meet the requirements of ZS972

  2. EOI respondents must clearly specify species of fingerlings that they can offer
  3. EOI respondents must clearly specify the province(s)/district(s) they can supply fingerlings to
  4. EOI respondents must also specify the period and quantity of fingerlings they can supply
  5. EOI respondents must supply the fingerlings to loan beneficiaries no later than 30 days from date of offer
  6. If EOI respondent is a trading subsidiary, proof of such relationship with the Hatchery should be provided

N.B Failure to submit compliance documents after request will lead to disqualification.

NOTE: CEEC reserves the right to reject EOIs that are incomplete or do not meet the requirements mentioned above. Therefore, submission of EOI does not carry any binding expectation or imply any right to participate in the planned tender.

CEEC invites proposals from suitably qualified and experienced Zambian citizens and targeted companies (In accordance with the CEE Act), to carry out debt collection services on the commissions selected Non Performing Loans (NPL).

  1. BACKGROUND

The Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) is a body corporate established through the enactment of the Citizens Economic Empowerment Act No. 9 of 2006 (CEE Act) to foster broad based economic empowerment. CEEC is currently in the process of calling for applications from interested targeted citizens, companies and cooperative enterprises who wish to undertake investment projects through various empowerment products that include ‘Own a Taxi, Mini-Bus or Light-Truck (not exceeding 5 tonnes)’.

CEEC invites proposals from suitably qualified and experienced Zambian citizens and targeted companies (In accordance with the CEE Act), capable regional agents/dealers for the supply and provision of passenger vehicles, mini-buses or light-truck (not exceeding 5 tonnes) on a need basis.

EOI respondents should be able to provide ONE of the vehicle categories listed below:

  • EXPRESSION OF INTEREST INVITATION IS FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS
    • Taxi – to transport four passengers plus driver in two rows of seats, with four (4) side doors, two on each side for passengers’ access plus cargo area. Smooth drive, and excellent fuel economy/consumption.
    • Mini-Bus – with high-roof to transport 16 passengers, seatbelts on all 16 seats, all-around windows. Smooth drive, and excellent fuel economy/consumption.
    • Light-Truck Not more than 5 tonne light truck, efficient solution for the transport of light cargo, fuel efficiency, faster turnaround time, improved tyre and safety features, and better drivability.
    • Vehicles to be supplied must be compliant with the Zambian road use regulations and can either be petrol or diesel engine transmission.
