This is a Project Finance Loan targeting MSMEs and/or Co-operatives in energy with viable businesses. The Commission offers an affordable, competitive, and easily accessible product with a flexible repayment plan. The maximum loan amount offered is K3, 000,000.00 to MSMEs and Cooperatives for working capital and business expansion.
Note that the facility is also extended to green-field subprojects in the energy sector.
LOAN INTEREST AND TENOR
The loan will attract twelve (12) percent interest per annum and the tenure shall be a maximum of Sixty (60) months.
PROPOSED SECURITY
Security for this facility will include; landed property, company stock, machinery/equipment, account receivables and debentures on assets to be purchased using CEEC loan.
Eligibility of beneficiaries shall be based on the following;
- Zambian owned company start-up or operating a filling station or involved in the petroleum business with a viable business project
- Beneficiary must be a Zambian Citizen with a Green National Registration Card
- Must provide sufficient collateral to secure the loan being applied for.
TARGETED MSMES/COOPERATIVES
This Product will target the following citizens;
- Youths- 40% (Female and Male individuals between the ages of 18 to 35 years)
- Women- 40% (Females above 35 years)
- Persons with Disability- 5% (In line with Persons with Disabilities No. 6 of 2012 will include female and male youths, women and men)
- Men- 15% (Males above 35 years)
The Call for applications shall be open throughout the year and MSMEs/Cooperatives are encouraged to submit complete Project applications using the Online Portal.
